Purses and Pencil Cases

The process of creating each of our pieces often begins with hand drawn illustrations. These illustrations are then hand screen printed onto the finest natural fibres such hemp, linen and organic cotton using water based inks. Before we print onto the fabric we hand cut each component of the bags and pouches as this allows us the flexibility to move the pattern around to use up the material in an efficient manner and minimise waste.

For this particular range our designs are hand screen printed onto hemp and organic cotton canvas. We chose to work with hemp because it has less environmental impact than other fibres. It is a vigorous growing crop that needs little water and is also resistant to insects and diseases therefore requiring little to no pesticides. Hemp fibre is strong and durable and holds its shape well. It is an extremely versatile fabric and wonderful to work with.

Art prints

We use two methods of printing for our art prints range- hand screen printing and digital printing. We hand screen print on 210 gsm acid free one hundred percent cotton archival quality paper and for our digital prints we use one hundred percent recycled 350 gsm acid free archival quality paper. We screen print with water based inks and use archival quality epson pigment inks for our digital prints.

Greeting cards and gift tags

Our cards and gift tags range are printed onto one hundred percent recycled and acid free 350 gsm card stock. The card stock that we use is manufactured with one hundred percent certified renewable energy and is carbon neutral. The envelopes that we provide with the cards are also one hundred percent recycled. We print all of our cards in house using epson archival quality pigment inks.

Notebooks

Our notebook ranges are printed onto one hundred percent recycled and acid free 350 gsm card stock. The card stock that we use is manufactured with one hundred percent certified renewable energy and is carbon neutral. The interior pages are a sustainable 80 gsm wheat stalk paper. All books are bound by sewing and we print all of our notebook covers in house using epson archival quality pigment inks.
